Process
The Scholarship Program was designed to promote and reward excellence and creative vision in STEAM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Medicine). Scholarship applications are technically open to everyone; however, save for exceptional cases, we place a heavy priority on graduate students and students who have already completed at least one degree. We do this to ensure that the funding goes to support a student who can and will be successful. Applications for the Scholarship Program open continuously, but at irregular intervals; dependent on how quickly the fundraising campaign is fulfilled.
Our selection process is relatively straightforward and simple: Grades do not mean everything. We care vastly more about what you can do with what you have learned. What creative application can you derive from an abstract concept? Doing so with extremely difficult coursework stands out. Can you see something in a way that nobody else has? Additionally, are you eager and passionate to share what you learn?
For an application to be considered, the candidate/application must meet all of the following criteria:
- Actively Enrolled in a Trade School, College, or University
- Participating in a STEAM degree field
- Current Unofficial Transcripts
- Themed Short Essay Submission
The subject of the essay will be announced when the applications open, and it will change from round to round. Applications will remain open for roughly a month; again, announced in more detail when the applications open.
Step 1: Fundraising
The Scholarship Program generates funding through donations from our generous supporters. Applications for the Scholarship Program open continuously, but at irregular intervals; dependent on how quickly the fundraising campaign is fulfilled.
Step 2: Application
Once funding is procured and scholarship applications become available, candidates may begin submitting their scholarship applications. There is no regional restriction to our scholarship applications.
Step 3: Award
Once an application round closes, our team will go through all submitted applications to select the scholarship recipient. We will create an entry on the “Our Work” page about the recipient, as well as personally notify the recipient. Only one scholarship is awarded per round.
